VidGrid allows D2L users to capture videos directly from the LMS. With the integration, users are automatically created and logged in based on their D2L credentials. Creators can record, upload, and search their library for content. Videos can be inserted anywhere "Insert Stuff" resides in D2L.
Additionally, auto-graded video quizzes, student recording assignments, and a full-app portal view can be configured.

1. Configure VidGrid LTI Tool
1.1. Login to D2L as Super Admin.
1.2. In the Settings Icon in the top right, Click Manage Extensibility.
1.3. Click LTI Advantage (see Figure 1).

1.4 Click Register Tool
1.4a Input the following values in the text fields:
Name: VidGrid LTI Tools

1.9 Add Org Units
1.10 Click Create Deployment
1.11 Copy Deployment Id (Put this with the items copied in 1.5)

2. VidGrid Embed Integration
2.1 Click New Link (see Figure 2)

2.2 Fill in the fields with the following information:
Name: VidGrid Embed
Description: Easily record, upload, or search for existing videos to insert into your course. The VidGrid Embed icon will appear under "Insert Stuff". The instructor can preview, add questions, request captions, and edit the video from the integration before it is inserted into a course.
Type: Deep Linking Insert Stuff
2.3 Click Save and Close
3. VidGrid Quiz Integration
3.1 Click New Link (see Figure 2)
3.2 Fill in the fields with the following information:
Name: VidGrid Quiz
Type: Deep Linking Quicklink
3.3 Click Save and Close
4. VidGrid Portal Integration
4.1 Click New Link (see Figure 2)
4.2 Fill in the fields with the following information:

6. Deploy integrations in VidGrid
6.1 Log into VidGrid as an Admin. Navigate to Account Settings (see Figure 3) > LTI Settings.

6.2 Fill out the LTI basic settings.
What LMS is your organization using?: D2L (Brightspace)
What is the URL of your LMS? Copy and paste your org's D2L URL (i.e. https://vidgrid.brightspace.com)

6.3 LTI 1.3 Settings > Add a new LTI 1.3 deployment

7. Test Integrations
7.1 Testing VidGrid Embed:
Navigate to a course > New dropdown > (Choose any that support "Insert Stuff" i.e. New Discussion) > Title > Insert Stuff > VidGrid Embed > Choose Video to Insert.
7.2 Testing VidGrid Quiz:
Navigate to a course > Add Existing Activities > VidGrid Quiz > Choose Video for the assignment > Select the setting icon in the bottom right > Title assessment > Choose total points > Save. Log in as a student to take quiz.
7.2 Testing VidGrid Student Record:
Navigate to a course > Add Existing Activities > External Learning Tools > VidGrid Student Record > Click on "VidGrid Student Record" from the course page > Change the assignment title > Choose Folder destination for the assignment > Submit > Log in as a student to record video for assignment.
7.3 Testing VidGrid Portal
Note: Before testing, you will need to add the VidGrid Portal to the Nav Bar. You can add this at the course level, department level, or org level navigation bars. This example uses the course level.
Navigate to a course > Click "Edit This Navbar" in the Course Navbar more options > Add Links > Create Custom Link > Name: VidGrid Portal (or whatever you want to call it) > URL: Insert Quicklink > External Learning Tools > VidGrid Portal > Behavior: (Whichever you prefer) > Availability: You may limit to certain users > Create > Save and Close > Click on link in Navbar to launch the VidGrid Portal.
